Demain des l'aube

I know two posts in a day is incredibly extreme for this humble community, but this is truly an amazing discovery. Someone completely illustrated Victor Hugo's "Demain des l'aube" which is one of my favorite poems. I won't link to the whole drawing here, but I recommend checking it out. Even if you don't know french, the drawings speak for themselves. I am also posting the poem and a translation of it.

Tomorrow, at dawn, at the hour when the countryside whitens,
I will leave. You see, I know that you await me.
I will go through the forest, I will go through the mountains.
I can no longer remain far from you.

I will walk with my eyes fixed on my thoughts,
Without seeing anything from the outside, without hearing any noise,
Alone, unknown, back curved, hands crossed,
Sad, and to me the day will be like the night.

I will not look at the gold of the evening which falls,
Nor the sails that descend far towards Harfleur,
And when I arrive, I will put on your tomb
A green bouquet of holly and heather flowers.
